Seagers Lookout track is a great little walk that can be completed as a sidetrack from the Mt Field East Track, or as a single walk. Seagers Lookout is pretty much uphill, and a little difficult in parts as you clamber over rocks. Seagers Lookout bushwalk isn't all that well marked, so take care in Winter as given it is only a short walk, it is still possible to get lost in low cloud, snow, and ice which are common at Mt Field. When entering the Mt Field National Park, make sure you register at the Visitor Information Centre. Then head up Lake Dobson Road on a windy, often muddy road taking care with oncoming traffic noting the road is very narrow in parts. You will see a sign for the Seagers Lookout walk on the left-hand side of the road just before Lake Dobson. make sure you supervise small children, have good walking shoes and adequate clothing including sun hat an sunscreen in Summer and warm, wet-weather gear in colder months.
