Labillardiere Peninsula Circuit Bruny Island, one of Tasmania's more picturesque day walks on Bruny Island and featuring spectacular coastal scenery. This is a fairly long and varied walk around the perimeter of the picturesque Labillardiere Peninsula on Bruny Island, which is not recommended for small children, people with a disability or people with no bushwalking experience. The Labillardiere Peninsula Circuit features constant coastal and mountain views, and walking on stretches of long sandy beach, and quiet sheltered bays. If you have less time there are a few shorter walks. Keep an eye out for wildlife and colourful wildflowers, including orchids.​ P{lease note you must have a valid nationals parks pass is required for entry to Tasmania's national parks, including to do this walk. The start of the walking track is approximately 1¼ hours drive from the Bruny Island ferry terminal at Roberts Point. From Roberts Point, drive on the B66 to Alonnah and Lunawanna and then the C629 towards Cape Bruny. Just before Cape Bruny, you will see a sign showing access to the Peninsula Walking Track, Labillardiere Peninsula. The walk will take around 5-6 hours to complete the full circuit, being 14km return in length. It is considered a Grade 4 walk, Bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks can be long, rough, and very steep. The track Labillardiere Peninsula track is within the South Bruny National Park, being one of the more remote corners of Bruny Island and provides great views of the Southern Ranges.
