Circle Track kunanyi Mt Wellington

Listing Details

The Circle Track kunanyi Mt Wellington is a fairly short, fairly level, and relatively easy walk suitable for the whole family and that is a loop walk mid-way up kunanyi / Mount Wellington. And whilst this is an easy walk, and a great walk for visitors or beginners to bushwalking, please take care near Pinnacle Road. This walk can be undertaken any time of the year, subject to weather conditions. Please note it is common for snow on kunanyi / Mt Wellington meaning that vehicular access may be impacted during snow. During summer walkers will be greeted with the deep shade and mossy greens of the forest, whilst in winter you may be treated to a dusting of snow or heavy fall. The Octopus Tree, with its tentacle-like roots gripping a huge sandstone boulder, is a recommended side trip if you have a bit of spare time. We recommend you combine with the Organ Pipes Track Mt Wellington / kunanyi.
